Commission Meetings
The members of the Commission must meet at least quarterly. Meetings may include presentations from local project sponsors and
official actions by the Commission to determine need for the project, confirm regional support, approve expenditure of funds,
approve entering into legal agreements, etc. (These items are further discussed on the Local Sponsor section of this web site.)
Upcoming Meeting Schedule:
| Meeting Date | Completed Material Deadline |
|---|---|
| August 16, 2007 | May 16, 2007 |
| November 29, 2007 | August 15, 2007 |
| February 2008 | November 1, 2007 |
| May 2008 | February 1, 2008 |
| August 2008 | May 1, 2008 |
| November 2008 | August 1, 2008 |
Submission deadlines are established in order to provide the Commission project manager with sufficient time to evaluate written materials. Project sponsors who submit materials for an initial pre-check at least 30 days in advance of the deadline are typically more successful at getting their project on the meeting agenda.
Due to the thorough nature of the Commission staff's review, the staff will often generate a number of questions and issues for the project sponsor to address by a prescribed date to facilitate the staff's final analysis and recommendations to the Commission. The Commission's project manager will advise each project sponsor regarding this process.
