Submission deadlines are established in order to provide the Commission project manager with sufficient time to evaluate written materials. Project sponsors who submit materials for an initial pre-check at least 30 days in advance of the deadline are typically more successful at getting their projects on the meeting agenda.
Due to the thorough nature of the Commission staff's review, the staff will often generate a number of questions and issues for the project sponsor to address, by a prescribed deadline, to facilitate the staff's final analysis and recommendations to the Commission. The Commission's project manager will advise each project sponsor regarding this process.
