Cincinnati Ballet
When established by the Legislature and Governor in 1988, our Commission's focus was exclusively on arts facilities. The Commission's first assignments were to oversee the Riffe Center Theatres in Columbus and to determine the need for a state performing arts center, which culminated in the 1995 opening of the Stanley J. Aronoff Center for the Performing Arts in Cincinnati.
Over the years, the Commission has overseen projects at scores of cultural facilities around the state. Per the Ohio Revised Code, eligible cultural facilities can include venues ranging from performing arts theaters and art museums to science and technology centers and local historical facilities.
